Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here.
Yamuna® Bodywork changed my life! So much so that I became a Practitioner to empower others to relieve some of their pain, increase their range of motion and continue to do all the things they love!
In 2014, I was struggling with pain that kept me from doing the things I loved. This took a deep emotional toll. I had so much discomfort in my hip/low back that I couldn’t sleep, I couldn’t exercise much less get out of my car or put on socks! The nerve pain in my shoulder was annoying to say the least! A constant feeling of pins and needles. At 50 years old, I thought, “is this seriously how it’s going to be for the rest of my life?”
After months of seeing orthopedic specialists, MRI’s, X-rays, PT and a cortisone shot, I still had the symptoms and no real diagnosis.
I was introduced to Yamuna® Body Rolling therapy through a holistic Physical Therapist who used Yamuna’s work in her therapy. This bodywork therapy provides benefits similar to that of a deep tissue massage, by providing myofascial release, bone stimulation and the creation of space in the joints. I purchased the balls and began working on myself. I noticed a change immediately and after 2-3 weeks was no longer have the nerve pain in my shoulder. I learned that creating space in my body as well as adding strength was the magic prescription to rid myself of my low back pain and allow me to live with less discomfort and more freedom so I could lead an active life.
The work was so magical that I felt compelled to become a Practitioner so I could share what I learned. In 2017-18, I obtained my Yamuna® Level 1 and 2 Certifications. I re-certify every two years with different concentrations that include Pelvic Health, Foundation in Mat Pilates and Twists.
In 2017, I began my journey towards my Yoga Teaching Certification and completed my RYT300 in 2018.
My fascination with the body and its mechanics led me to pursue my Certified Personal Training Certification. I did this training merely to aid me in my teaching.
My goal is to educate you with some knowledge and share some tools you can use to take control of your health and well-being and so that you can continue to live an active life doing the things you love!
Warmly, Tracey
